This Writesonic review starts with a change of identity. Writesonic began as an AI copywriter, but in 2026 it sells itself as an AI search growth engine. The platform tracks whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI tools mention your brand, and then helps you fix it.
Its AI Article Writer and Chatsonic, for example, still sit inside the bundle. However, prices now start at $79 a month billed yearly, and tracking all ten AI platforms requires the custom Enterprise plan.
Writesonic Review: Is It Worth It in 2026?
For marketing teams that want to track and improve AI search visibility, it can be. Writesonic combines visibility tracking, a ranked list of fixes and agents that draft content and outreach. Its privacy policy, moreover, rules out training on customer data.
For writers who just want an AI drafting tool, rarely. A $20 general assistant, however, writes as well for far less, as our list of the best AI for writing shows.
What Writesonic Does Now
Writesonic’s homepage describes a four-step loop: track, prioritize, act and measure. First, it runs your chosen prompts across AI platforms every day and reports visibility, citations and sentiment.
Next, its Action Center ranks fixes, such as missing content, citation gaps and technical issues. Its agents then also rewrite pages, draft outreach to sites that cite competitors, and flag AI crawlers blocked in robots.txt. Finally, it measures each fix after 14 and 28 days, the company says.

What Writesonic Costs
Writesonic’s pricing page shows four plans, priced per month but billed yearly, as several guides read it in August and September 2026. Monthly billing, however, costs more.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $79/mo yearly ($948); $99 monthly | ChatGPT only; 50 prompts a day; 15 AI articles a month |
| Basic | $199/mo yearly; $249 monthly | ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews; 25 AI articles a month |
| Growth | $399/mo yearly; $499 monthly | 200 prompts a day; sentiment; 50 AI articles a month |
| Enterprise | Custom | All 10 AI platforms; SSO |
⚠️ One reviewer found that the $79 Starter card opened a checkout for $948, the full year, with $0 due during the trial. The page does say billed annually, but check the total before you enter a card.

Which Models It Uses
Writesonic’s privacy policy lists its model providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Stability AI and OpenRouter, plus custom models hosted on Azure and AWS. The provider for each feature varies by capability and cost.
As a result, the writing quality inside Writesonic depends mostly on those underlying models. Our guides to ChatGPT for SEO and Claude for SEO cover the same models used directly.
What Independent Evaluations Show
For this Writesonic review, we found no independent test of its visibility data or its article quality. Its G2 badges, moreover, reflect user reviews, not benchmarks, as our guide to AI benchmarks explained notes.
⚠️ AI visibility tracking is also new territory: answers vary by prompt, day and region. So treat its percentages as a direction rather than a precise measurement, and compare them with your own checks.
Your Data
Writesonic’s privacy policy, updated May 13, 2026, says it does not use customer data to train or fine-tune any general-purpose model, including data from free trials. It may, however, use de-identified data to improve the service.
Its model providers also do not train on the data, under their API terms, and Writesonic uses zero-retention options where eligible. It is SOC 2 Type 2 audited, and it deletes customer data within 30 days of account deletion. Our guide to which AI tools train on your data compares other tools.
Who Runs Writesonic
Writesonic, Inc. is a San Francisco company founded by Samanyou Garg, and it hosts its service on Microsoft Azure. Its homepage also lists marketing teams at Amazon, Unilever and Acer among customers.
Writesonic vs Jasper and Copy.ai
Jasper, by contrast, remains a marketing writing platform at $69 a seat, and Copy.ai has turned toward sales workflows. Our Jasper review and Copy.ai review cover both, and our ChatGPT vs Jasper comparison sets Jasper against a general assistant.
Writesonic’s distinct offer, therefore, is AI search visibility, which neither of the other two centers on. For the writing side alone, our list of Jasper alternatives compares cheaper options.
Who Should Use Writesonic
Writesonic suits marketing teams and agencies that care whether AI assistants recommend their brand, and want tracking, fixes and reporting in one place. It also suits teams that need strict data terms, given its no-training policy. Our Writesonic vs Anyword comparison also weighs AI search tracking against predictive copy scores.
By contrast, it suits solo writers less, because the cheapest plan costs $948 a year and the core product is tracking, not drafting. Our guide to using AI for SEO content covers a cheaper route, and our list of the best AI for blogging compares drafting tools.

How We Research
This Writesonic review takes product features from its homepage and data rules from its privacy policy, read on October 2, 2026. Prices come from guides that read its pricing page in August and September 2026.
We found no independent quality evaluation, so two criteria rest on the absence of evidence. Our about page explains the criteria, and our list of the best AI for marketing compares general assistants. Our guide to writing with AI without sounding like AI also applies to its drafts.

Writesonic
AI visibility tracking, priced for teams
Writesonic tracks how AI assistants mention your brand, ranks fixes and drafts content and outreach, and its policy rules out training on customer data. Against that, plans start at $948 a year, Starter tracks ChatGPT only, and no independent test checks its data or its writing.
The Verdict
Writesonic is no longer the cheap AI copywriter it once was. It is now a visibility platform for teams that want to know, and change, what AI assistants say about their brand.
The rest of this Writesonic review holds the score at 3.0. Its data terms are strong, but the entry price is high and its numbers have no independent check. Try the 7-day trial with one brand before you commit to a year.
