With AI tool pricing compared on one page, the pattern is clear. Most standard plans cost about $20 a month, but entry, top and team tiers vary widely. So this page lists every plan from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Grok and DeepSeek, with yearly prices where they exist.

Every price comes from each company’s plan pages, read on September 30 and October 1, 2026. Grok’s prices, however, come from third-party readings. For deeper questions, four companion pages also go further, and the guide below says which one answers what.

AI Tool Pricing Compared: The Short Answer

Entry plans run from $4.99 to $10 a month, and standard plans cluster around $20. For example, Google AI Plus is the cheapest entry at $4.99, while ChatGPT Go costs $8 and Microsoft 365 Personal $9.99. At the standard level, most plans then cost $20, although SuperGrok is reported at $30.

Top plans and yearly billing differ more. Top individual plans, meanwhile, range from $99.99 to $500 a month. However, only Claude, Perplexity and Microsoft offer yearly billing on their main plans. So ChatGPT and Google cost the full monthly price over a year.

Free Plans

Every tool on this page also has a free tier. However, ChatGPT’s Free and Go plans and Copilot’s free app show ads, and most free plans also run lighter models. Students, meanwhile, can pay less, as our list of the best AI for students covers. For example, Perplexity’s Education Pro costs $10, as our guide to Perplexity for students explains.

Monthly or Yearly

With AI tool pricing compared by billing period, yearly plans win where they exist. In fact, yearly billing saves about $40 at the standard tier. For example, Claude Pro and Perplexity Pro cost $200 a year against $240 monthly. Similarly, Microsoft 365 Premium costs $199.99 a year against $239.88. ChatGPT Plus and Google AI Pro, by contrast, bill monthly only, as our ChatGPT vs Claude comparison also notes. Our Perplexity pricing guide lists every plan and what it adds.

Top Plans

At the top, ChatGPT Pro comes in three tiers from $100 to $500 a month. Claude Max, meanwhile, costs $100 or $200. Google AI Ultra also costs $99.99 or $199.99, while Perplexity Max costs $200 a month or $2,000 a year. Finally, third-party readings put Grok’s top tier, SuperGrok Heavy, at $300 a month or $3,000 a year.

These plans differ mainly in usage limits, and most publish no counts, as the limits page in the guide below explains. So check what extra headroom you actually get before you pay far more than the standard price.

Team and Business Plans

For teams, ChatGPT Business Standard and Claude Team Standard each cost $25 a seat monthly, but $20 on yearly billing. Gemini Enterprise Business starts at $21 a seat a month. Perplexity Enterprise Pro, by contrast, costs $40 a seat monthly or $400 a year. Microsoft 365 Copilot Business costs $21 a seat a month paid yearly, on top of a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan, and Grok Business is reported at $30. Our list of the best AI for business compares these plans in detail.

In addition, business plans skip training on your data by default at OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity. For client work, that matters as much as price.
