The best Bolt.new alternatives on this list start with three prompt-to-app builders: Lovable, v0 and Replit. Coding agents for developers, Claude Code, ChatGPT’s Codex and Cursor, follow.
Bolt.new scores 3.0 in our Bolt.new review. It builds full-stack apps that run in your browser. However, tokens burn faster as projects grow, and its policy documents no training opt-out.
Best Bolt.new Alternatives: The Short Answer
Among the best Bolt.new alternatives here, Lovable ranks first: it is easier for non-coders, and unlimited collaborators share one credit pool on Pro at $25. Our Bolt.new vs Lovable comparison also weighs price and data terms.
v0, meanwhile, suits React interfaces on Vercel, and Replit adds a real editor from $20. For developers with existing code, however, Claude Code leads the September agent index. Our list of Replit alternatives ranks the options by our review scores.
The Alternatives at a Glance
| Alternative | Group; our score | Better than Bolt at; plan |
|---|---|---|
| Lovable | App builder; 3.2 | Non-coders, shared credits; Pro $25 |
| v0 | App builder; 3.0 | React on Vercel; Team $30 |
| Replit | App builder; 2.9 | Real editor and hosting; Core $20 |
| Claude Code | Coding agent; 3.6 | Index 68; Pro about $17 yearly |
| ChatGPT (Codex) | Coding agent; 3.6 | Index 63; Plus $20 |
| Cursor | Coding agent; 3.6 | Full AI editor; Pro $20 |

How We Ordered This List
Bolt.new builds apps from prompts, so other prompt-to-app builders come first. Within each group, our review scores decide, and ties go to the lower paid entry price, as in our list of the best AI app builders.
The three coding agents, however, tie at 3.6. So Claude Code, about $17 a month yearly, goes first, and Codex’s index score of 63 breaks the tie with Cursor, which has no September entry.
Why People Leave Bolt.new
First, each prompt sends more of the project as it grows, so larger apps use more tokens per change. Second, Bolt’s privacy policy documents no way to opt out of training.
On the other hand, leaving has a cost. Bolt runs full-stack apps in your browser with no local setup, and Pro’s unused tokens also roll over for a month. Our v0 alternatives list, in addition, covers a similar builder.

1. Lovable: Easier for Non-Coders
First, Lovable builds apps with a database, sign-in and hosting, and every plan allows unlimited collaborators sharing credits. Pro costs $25 a month.
What you give up, though: Business doubles the price for the same credits, and a training opt-out appears only there. Our Lovable review covers it.
2. v0: React Interfaces on Vercel
v0, by contrast, turns prompts into React and Next.js interfaces with live previews, then deploys to Vercel. Its free plan includes $5 of monthly credits.
What you give up, however: paid use starts at $30 a user on Team, and it focuses on the front end. Our v0 review explains.
3. Replit: Editor, Agent and Hosting
Replit, meanwhile, keeps a full editor beside its Agent, with hosting and databases. Core costs $20 a month with $20 of credits.
What you give up, though: effort-based billing, and a policy that allows training on your code. Our Replit review covers both, and our ChatGPT vs Replit comparison weighs it against an agent.
4. Claude Code: The Top Agent Score
Among the agents, Claude Code scored 68 on the September Coding Agent Index and works in your terminal, IDE or browser. Pro costs about $17 a month billed yearly.
What you give up, however: no hosting and no in-browser app preview. Our Claude Code review covers setup.
5. ChatGPT’s Codex: Low Cost per Task
Codex, similarly, comes with every ChatGPT plan and scored 63 on the index at a low cost per task. Plus costs $20 a month.
What you give up, though: no built-in hosting, and personal plans train by default. Our guide to ChatGPT for coding explains.
6. Cursor: A Full AI Editor
Cursor, finally, puts agents and frontier models inside a full editor, with its own cheap Composer model. Pro costs $20 a month.
What you give up, however: Cursor has no September index entry, and heavy agent use adds cost. Our Cursor review covers it.
Which Alternative for Which Need
For example, building without code points to Lovable, and React front ends on Vercel point to v0. Learning with a real editor, by contrast, points to Replit.
For existing codebases, therefore, use Claude Code or Codex, and review changes as our guide to reviewing AI-generated code explains. For quick full-stack prototypes with no setup, however, staying with Bolt may be best.

How We Research
This list of the best Bolt.new alternatives draws on our reviews of each tool and on Artificial Analysis‘s Coding Agent Index, read between July and October 3, 2026.
However, we run no build tests of our own. Our about page explains the criteria, and our guide to which AI tools train on your data compares data terms.
