Gemini pricing in 2026 runs through Google’s AI plans. Gemini itself is free, while Google AI Plus costs $4.99 a month and Google AI Pro $19.99. Google AI Ultra, in turn, costs $99.99 or $199.99. Each paid plan also bundles Google storage, from 400 GB to 20 TB and more.
This Gemini pricing guide lists every plan, what each one limits, and which one fits which user. We read Google’s plan and help pages on September 30 and October 1, 2026. Our Gemini review covers the assistant itself.
Gemini Pricing: The Short Answer
For most people, for example, Google AI Pro at $19.99 is the plan that changes the most. It brings Gemini into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet. It also adds a 1M-token context and 5 TB of storage, with four times Free’s limits. Our list of Gemini alternatives covers when staying with Gemini makes sense.
Google AI Plus at $4.99, by contrast, is the cheapest paid step of any major assistant, but it adds less inside Google’s apps. All plans, however, bill monthly only, and eligible students can get a year free.

Free
First, Gemini Free runs Gemini 3.6 Flash with varying access to 3.1 Pro and a 32K-token context. It still includes image generation and Deep Research, though within limits that refresh every five hours up to a weekly cap.
In addition, Gemini Notebook, formerly NotebookLM, is free with 100 notebooks and 50 sources each, as our NotebookLM review covers. Our comparison of free and paid AI tools also sets Gemini Free against rivals.
Google AI Plus
Google AI Plus costs $4.99 a month, cut from $7.99 in June 2026, guides report. It doubles Free’s limits, raises the context to 128K tokens and also adds 400 GB of storage.
Inside Google’s apps, however, Plus mainly adds proofreading in Gmail, and Gemini Notebook rises to 100 sources per notebook. Our list of the cheapest useful AI tools, therefore, puts it in context.
Google AI Pro
Google AI Pro, meanwhile, costs $19.99 a month and gives four times Free’s limits with a 1M-token context. When you hit the limit, moreover, it continues on Flash-Lite, and AI credits buy more.
Pro also brings Gemini into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet, and it includes 5 TB of storage and YouTube Premium Lite. Our guide to Gemini for Google Workspace also covers what that means in each app.
Google AI Ultra
At the top, Ultra comes in two tiers: $99.99 a month for five times Pro’s limits, and $199.99 for twenty times. Both also add Deep Think and start at 20 TB of storage.
Ultra subscribers are also among the first in line for Gemini 4 Argon, which Google announced on September 30, though only cyber defenders could use it as of October 2. Our ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini comparison tracks what Argon may change. Our Claude vs Gemini for writing comparison also weighs price and data terms.
Business Plans
For companies, by contrast, Gemini comes with Google Workspace. Business Starter includes it in Gmail and Vids only, while Business Standard adds it across Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive and Meet. Gemini Enterprise Business, meanwhile, starts at $21 a seat a month.
On business plans, Google also does not train on your data by default. Our list of the best AI for business compares Workspace with ChatGPT Business and Claude Team.

Training, Ads and Refunds
On personal accounts, Gemini trains on your chats while Keep Activity is on. With it off, however, Google keeps chats for 72 hours; with it on, auto-delete defaults to 18 months. However, some connected Workspace features need Keep Activity on, and human-reviewed chats can be kept for up to three years.
On ads, Google says it does not use Gemini chats for advertising. On refunds, you can cancel anytime, but Google gives no refunds for partial billing periods except where law requires.
Students and Yearly Cost
Eligible college students can get a year of Google AI Pro free in the US, or Google AI Plus in more than 140 countries, Google announced on August 19, 2026. Our guide to Gemini for students covers the details.
Since every plan is billed monthly only, a year of Plus costs $59.88 and a year of Pro $239.88. Our breakdown of what AI tools cost per year also compares those totals with rivals.
Which Google AI Plan to Choose
In short, Gemini pricing rewards matching the plan to your apps. Stay on Free for occasional use, and take Plus if you mainly want more chat and storage for $4.99. Our guide on how AI pricing has changed tracks the changes tool by tool.
By contrast, take Pro if you work in Gmail and Docs or need long documents, and Ultra only for very heavy use or early access to new models. For comparison, our ChatGPT pricing and Claude pricing guides cover the rival plans.

How We Research
Prices come from gemini.google/subscriptions, Gemini Apps Help and Google’s AI plans page, read on September 30 and October 1, 2026. The Plus price cut and some limits come from guides, marked where used.
We run no tests of our own, however. Our about page explains how we work, and our AI pricing comparison lists every tool’s plans side by side.
