The best Replit alternatives on this list start with three prompt-to-app builders: Lovable, Bolt.new and v0. Coding agents for developers, Claude Code, ChatGPT’s Codex and Cursor, follow.
Replit scores 2.9 in our Replit review. It puts an editor, an AI agent and hosting in one browser tab. However, its policy allows training on your code without an opt-in, and its Agent bills by effort.
Best Replit Alternatives: The Short Answer
Among the best Replit alternatives here, Lovable ranks first: it is easier for non-coders, and a training opt-out appears on its Business plan. Bolt.new, meanwhile, builds full-stack apps in your browser from $25. Our Replit vs Cursor comparison covers which fits which job.
For developers, however, coding agents fit better: Claude Code leads the September agent index, and personal plans let you turn training off.
The Alternatives at a Glance
| Alternative | Group; our score | Better than Replit at; plan |
|---|---|---|
| Lovable | App builder; 3.2 | Non-coders, shared credits; Pro $25 |
| Bolt.new | App builder; 3.0 | In-browser full stack; Pro $25 |
| v0 | App builder; 3.0 | React on Vercel; Team $30 |
| Claude Code | Coding agent; 3.6 | Index 68; Pro about $17 yearly |

| Cursor | Coding agent; 3.6 | Full AI editor; Pro $20 |

How We Ordered This List
Replit builds apps from prompts, so other prompt-to-app builders come first. Within each group, our review scores decide, and ties go to the lower paid entry price, as in our list of the best AI app builders.
So Bolt.new, at $25, sits above v0, whose entry paid plan is Team at $30. The three agents, however, tie at 3.6, so price and then the September index decide.
Why People Leave Replit
First, Replit’s policy lets it train on your code, prompts and AI interactions without an opt-in. Second, Agent work bills by effort, and failed attempts cost too.
On the other hand, leaving has a cost. Replit keeps a real editor and terminal beside its Agent, with hosting and databases, and Core at $20 is the cheapest entry here. Our lists of v0 alternatives and Bolt.new alternatives cover similar choices.

1. Lovable: Easier for Non-Coders
First, Lovable builds apps with a database, sign-in and hosting, and every plan allows unlimited collaborators sharing credits. Pro costs $25 a month.
What you give up, though: no real editor or terminal, and the training opt-out sits on Business. Our Lovable review covers it.
2. Bolt.new: Full Stack in Your Browser
Bolt.new, by contrast, writes front-end and back-end code and runs it in your browser, then deploys to Bolt Cloud or Netlify. Pro costs $25 a month for 10 million tokens.
What you give up, however: its policy documents no training opt-out either, and tokens burn faster on big apps. Our Bolt.new review explains.
3. v0: React Interfaces on Vercel
v0, meanwhile, turns prompts into React and Next.js interfaces and deploys to Vercel. Its free plan includes $5 of monthly credits.
What you give up, though: paid use starts at $30 a user, and it focuses on the front end. Our v0 review covers it.
4. Claude Code: The Top Agent Score
Among the agents, Claude Code scored 68 on the September Coding Agent Index and works in your terminal, IDE or browser. Pro costs about $17 a month billed yearly.
What you give up, however: no hosting, so you deploy elsewhere. Our Claude vs Replit comparison weighs the two directly.
5. ChatGPT’s Codex: Low Cost per Task
Codex, similarly, comes with every ChatGPT plan and scored 63 on the index. Plus costs $20 a month, as our guide to ChatGPT for coding covers.
What you give up, though: no built-in hosting. Our ChatGPT vs Replit comparison covers both.
6. Cursor: A Full AI Editor
Cursor, finally, puts agents and frontier models inside a full editor, closest to Replit’s editor-first feel. Pro costs $20 a month.
What you give up, however: Cursor has no September index entry, and it runs locally rather than in a browser. Our Cursor review covers it.
Which Alternative for Which Need
For example, building without code points to Lovable, and full-stack prototypes in a browser point to Bolt.new. Existing codebases, by contrast, point to Claude Code or Codex.
For learning in one browser tab with hosting included, however, staying with Replit may still be best. Our list of the best AI for coding beginners covers learning tools.

How We Research
This list of the best Replit alternatives draws on our reviews of each tool and on Artificial Analysis‘s Coding Agent Index, read between July and October 4, 2026.
However, we run no build tests of our own. Our about page explains the criteria, and our guide to which AI tools train on your data compares data terms.
